Last Friday, the 6th of March, it took place in the society Industrias of the Quartz S.A., placed in Carrascal del Río (Segovia), the 10th day of reforestation, included in the plan of annual restoration carried out by the company. There were invited the children of the Rural Center Grouped of "Entre dos Ríos", belonging to the localities of Cabezuela, Carrascal, Fuenterrebollo, Sebulcor, etc. Representing, according to the director of the CRA, Don Jose Luís Rojo, a whole of 95 pupils and 12 teachers. On the part of the company there came diverse persons in charge and workers of the plant, some of them accompanying his children.
This year we were accompanied by the mayor of Carrascal del Río, Mss. Henar Herranz, she is always involved in the questions that region affect to, as well as numerous voluntary of the mentioned locality. Invited also by INCUSA, there came the director of the Nature reserve of the Sickles of the Río Duratón and a group of housewives of Sepúlveda who after the reforestation showed to children and adults the handcrafted way of making soap. In spite of the forecast meteorological the day of reforestation could develop with normality, giving like proved the plantation of more than 900 trees (pines, poplars white and black (populus nigra/alba), perpetuates or houseleek (Helichrysum stoechas), oak (Quercus ilex) in an approximate surface of 6000m2.
After the plantation a small visit - walk was realized by the children by the plant, developing infantile games, a lunche and a small exhibition about: The Nature Reserve of the Río Duratón, The Raw Materials and the Industry, the Environment, at the expense of the director of the Park and of the Chief of plant respectively.
